History

TOWN OF BONE LAKE BEGINNINGS:

The Town of Bone Lake was created by a Polk County Board of Supervisors

ordinance as a town on April 1, 1889. It was previously a part of the Town of Luck.

Officers of the first town board were: NN Dueholm—Chairman; Peder Nielsen and

Peder Hansen—Supervisors; Peter H Lass—Clerk; and, Niels C Nielsen—Treasurer.

Many dedicated men and women have served as town chair, supervisor, clerk and

treasurer over the years.
