GENERAL ELECTION NOTICE

There will be 5 elections in 2018:  a Special Election for the 10th Senate District on January 16, 2018; Spring Primary on February 20, 2018; Spring Election on April 3, 2018; Fall Primary on August 14, 2018; and, General Election on November 6, 2018.
Absentee ballots are generally available 2-3 weeks prior to each election. If you choose to have your absentee ballot mailed to you, just fill out an application from the website or email the town clerk with a note stating your name, address and intent to vote absentee. In both cases you must provide a copy of your Photo ID with your application. If you choose to vote in the town clerk’s office, phone 715-472-8212 for an appointment and be prepared to show your Photo ID. The last day to vote is Sunday, 5 pm, prior to each election. The residency requirement for new registrations has been changed from 28 days back to 10 days.  There is also a way to have the town clerk send an absentee ballot for every election if you certify that you are indefinitely confined because of age, illness, infirmity or disability. This option is located in Part 6 of the official absentee ballot application. A copy of your Photo ID is also needed for the town clerk’s file for this procedure.
